All classes focus on the fundamental movement patterns and techniques to ensure a solid foundation that provides a platform that can be built upon. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is based on the principle that a smaller, weaker person can defend themselves against a bigger, stronger opponent by using leverage and proper body positioning as well as by using joint locks and chokes called submission techniques. The standard class is perfect for all who wish to train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in a less combative, less confrontational environment with more emphasis on technique than rolling. The time spent in class allows the student to build their skill set and confidence in preparation to the standard BJJ class. Our higher level classes focus on technical training in a positive and safe environment, which involve learning and drilling specific techniques as well as live grappling. The head instructor, pays particular attention to the details of the techniques that enables students to achieve the highest level of understanding.
