Adult Advanced Jiu Jitsu/Judo Program

About The Adult Advanced Jiu Jitsu Program

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu consists of hundreds of techniques. We have organized them into a control and progressive curriculum in the Advanced Jiu jitsu Program. The Advanced Jiu Jitsu program is structured for your journey to black belt. We have organizing all of these techniques into positional chapters (Mount,Side Mount,Guard(variations of guard), Half Guard, Back Mount, Leg Locks, Standing), each of which is studied at random for a month at a time before moving on to the next chapter. We also include many advanced Judo takedown techniques that is lacking in many Jiu jitsu schools today.

Review & Warm-Up

Every Advanced Jiu Jitsu Cycle Program lesson begins with a 15 minute review/warm-up period during which you will review previous lessons. During the review period, you will work closely with your training partners and instructors.

Technical Instruction

After the review, the instructor will present 2-3 new techniques from the current chapter of study. Then, you will practice the techniques with a cooperative partner until the movements become natural.

Randori

At the end of class, you will have a chance to test your skills against a variety of training partners in a structured training exercises in the Randori part of class; focused positional training, Focus Sparring Exercises, and Fight Simulation Drills. Safety is the primary concern during these sparring exercises, and any students who does not train in a safe and productive manner will not be allowed to participate. Sparring is 100% voluntary for Advanced Jiu Jitsu Program students.
