These techniques are being taught at Zenith Authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Parker, Colorado.

Our Philosophy

The application of traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu transcends the application of chokes, joint locks, immobilization, throws, and strikes. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a way of life. The instructors of Zenith Authentic Brazilian Jiu jitsu believes that efficiency, patience, and control held the key to success in all aspects of life.

Efficiency

Efficiency,  At Zenith Authentic Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, we believe in most cases but not all that an attacker will be larger and more athletic. Our students learn that the only effective way to succeed is to wear down your attacker while staying relaxed and conserving energy. Brazilian Jiu jitsu uses leverage-based techniques and natural body movements in the most efficient manner.

Patience

Patience is often the key to success not only in life but in a real altercations with a larger opponent. While size can be an advantage, it is the more efficient fighter that will typically prevail. Acting impulsively, the adrenaline produced can have an adverse effects and causes some to lose focus. Patience also applies to timing of using jiu jitsu techniques. Sometimes you can loose a perfect arm bar due to applying it at the wrong time. Jiu Jitsu will teach you to stay calm in high pressure situations. Jiu jitsu is a marathon not a sprint.

Control

The final objective in a fight is to control your opponent and break their will. Once their will is broken a surrender will soon follow. Physically dominating means you are controlling your opponent. Without this control, the fight will continue and you may loose. Control also applies to ones self. Having self control with patience’s, efficiency and proper techniques with allow you to control a fight. Do not fight against your opponent, fight against their movements.
